Alexandra-Maria-Lara

Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is an Romanian actress and television presenter. She's most famous as the protagonist of Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control as well as Rush. She was the sole one child to Romanian actor Valentin Platareanu Alexandra stepped into the world of show business early, and ended up playing lead roles in different television dramas by the time she was just 16. After her critically acclaimed role in the TV film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went further to take on other memorable role like Adolf's secretary, Traudljunge, on Downfall. It received nominations for an Oscar and won critical acclaim. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are also Oscar nominated films that feature women. In the past, Alexandra has worked in several noteworthy national and international projects. The British biographical film Control, the Greek-language drama The Dust of Time, and the French historical mini-series Napoleon include among them. Furthermore, she was an active member of the Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
