Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig on 21 September 1983) is an American actress best recognized for her performances in the roles of Shannon Rutherford on the ABC TV series Lost and Kim Mills in the Taken trilogy. Maggie Grace is originally from Worthington located in Ohio dropped out of high school in order to move to Los Angeles after her divorced parents divorced. It was a struggle to survive and was offered her first role in acting in Rachel's Room's lead character. In 2002, she was awarded an Young Artist Award in 2002 for her performance in Murder on the streets of Greenwich of 15 year young Martha Moxley as a murder victim, she went on to be awarded. Grace Rutherford, a role she played in Lost from 2004 to 2005 was nominated for an Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace was dropped from the series in 2005 to focus on a more significant role in film, appearing opposite Tom Welling as Kim Mills in the film Taken. She was on the screen in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club in 2007 and Taken (2008) with Liam Neeson. In 2008, she reprised the role Taken 2 (2013) and Taken 3 (2015). The actress also appeared in Alice as Alice in Malice in Wonderland which is an updated adaptation that Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace returned to her role as Shannon in Lost in the series, which included the conclusion. In 2013, Grace appears in the episode Californianation of the 6th season. She plays Faith who's both a star-gazer and socialite. Hank Moody, played by David Duchovny, falls for her. Gyllenhaal is a member of her family and is the elder sibling of Jake Gyllenhaal. The first time she appeared in films starring her father in his adolescent years. Along with her brother, she was also as a character in Donnie Darko (2000). She then appeared on the screen in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and Mona Lisa Smile (both 2002). Gyllenhaal's lead roles in Secretary, a romantic comedy-drama erotico, and Sherrybaby (a dramatic) earned her nominations for Golden Globe Award. Following several commercially-successful films, like World Trade Center in 2006 her fame grew when she played Rachel Dawes (the superhero) in The Dark Knight (2007). The role she played in Crazy Heart as a mother who is a single parent was nominated to an Academy Award Best Supporting Actress. In the following years she was a part of comedies as well as dramatic movies: Nanny McPhee & the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011 and Won't Back Down 2012. Alongside her work as an agent of the Secret Service agent, she also appeared on screen in White House Down (2013) and Frank (2014). One of her most recent roles were the protagonist in The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). Gyllenhaal's debut as a writer and director took place in 2021, with The Lost Daughter, a psycho-drama that won her an award at the Venice International Film Festival Best Screenplay Award. The film also received an Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.
