Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is an Romanian TV presenter and actress. She's best known as the lead in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. She was the sole child of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu, Alexandra began her professional career in the show business in the early years of her life. By the time she reached the age of sixteen, she had secured the leading roles in numerous television dramas. In the Oscar nominated film Downfall, her role as Secretary Traudljunge, Adolf Hitler's secretary was also highly praised. The other Oscar nominated movies featuring the famous diva are The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra worked on several notable national and international projects throughout her career. Some of these include the British biographical documentary Control, Greek drama movie The Dust of Time, and French historical miniseries Napoleon. She also remained member of the jury of the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
